I’m finally trying one of those projects I couldn’t stop thinking about after seeing it on Instagram. Have you ever seen a reel and thought, “I HAVE to try that”—talked yourself out of it—and then came right back around? Yep… that was me.

I was inspired by a beautiful button book project (originally created by Kat Davy, using buttons and a tin), but after hours of searching my stash for the “just right” buttons, I decided to pivot. Instead, I created a mini concertina-style circle book using paper, ribbon, and supplies I already had on hand.

This little circle art book features purple alcohol ink papers, old stash finds, scrapbook paper, tags, and a simple ribbon closure—with a tiny paper clip twist for fun. It’s a fiddly, hands-on project that’s perfect for using up scraps, experimenting with color, and making something playful and tactile.
