Found a cassette tape last week - recording made on my first visit to Ireland, to the Fleadh Cheoil na hEireann in Buncrana, Co. Donegal. I was looking for tunes at the time, and recorded some of the competitions, including the 16-18 Tin Whistle. The tape is now 45 years old, but recording quality still reasonable. I have no record of who the players were, they would be in their 60s now, and I hope they are still playing the music.
Tunes are : "A Rainy Day" - "Bobby Casey's Reel" - "Mo Mhuirnin Ban"

Ian was a member of the quartet Mirk, and this instrumental track - P.M. George Rosss Farewell To The Black Watch / Captain Lachlan MacPhail of Tiree - is taken from their 1982 LP recording Tak A Dram, and is posted here as a tribute. To the best of my knowledge, it was the first recording in Scotland ever to feature electronic bagpipes, played by Andy Corsie.")
