New Zealand’s solar and wind generation produces heaps of electricity when the sun’s shining and wind’s blowing, but there’s been no way of storing that electricity. That’s all about to change.
This Battery Energy Storage Site at Ruakākā, near Whangārei, will allow us to store that electricity for those times when it’s really needed.
