The North Texas Woodworker's Association builds boxes for the Beads of Courage program. We build and donate many boxes to the hospitals supporting the Beads of Courage National program. (Their website is beadsofcourage.org) The Beads of Courage program provides innovative, supportive care for children coping with serious illness. (Often with life-threatening or terminal illness).

We have monthly meetings on the third Tuesday of each month, held in Plano, Texas
Woodworking is serious fun. Our members cover the complete spectrum of woodworkers, from hobbyists to professionals, newcomers to lifelong woodworkers. The common interest is they all want to learn more about the craft and improve their woodworking skills.
The primary purpose of the NTWA is to promote the craft of woodworking and assist in improving members' skills and abilities at all levels of experience. This is accomplished through seminars, workshops, demonstrations, sharing of information about woodworking techniques, tools, and sources for supplies, and networking with other members. Our members have a “pride of belonging” to our community.
