Since the amounts of substances in chemistry are getting smaller and smaller (microscale chemistry, microfluidics, etc.), I’m attempting to build a microdistiller this time. Of course, this also requires a laboratory heating mantle. Since you can’t buy one for a tiny 25-ml round-bottom flask, I made it myself out of scrap aluminum. The heating mantle could be improved even further if I had a metal lathe.
