This is the German version of Bud Spencer's Grau Grau Grau. Bud Spencer could speak a little bit of German, but not as good as Terence Hill.
Bud Spencer's writing of the original version focused on the text, Walter Rizzuti's writing on the composition, but it's possible that they also participated on their contrary parts. The lyrics were translated into German by Wolfgang Hofer, an Austrian singer and lyricist. Female vocals were sung by Anke von Ohlen.
It's nice to hear this song in German, but the vocal mixing sounds unnatural in my opinion. Bud Spencer's voice was strong while Anke von Ohlen's singing is rather soft, so, it would be obvious to put Bud into the lead and Ohlen into the backing. They did it better in the English version.
