BRUTAL DOOM v21 GOLD release with TERMINATOR addon, map Redemption Denied by Kan3 for DOOM II Hell On Earth on the Ultra-Violence difficulty level. Terminator Addon for the Brutal Doom is a mod that I showcased to you some time ago when it was in a fairly less complete development stage, now it's a little bit more complete than before. It's just an addon that adds some new weapons to the arsenal (mostly oriented at Cameron/Ahnold because you do not have only the Terminator weapons but also from Commando and Aliens), some taunts and so. It does not overwrite the weapons from the basic Brutal Doom arsenal nor the monsters, in fact you do not need the Minigun from Brutal Doom replaced to imitate a famous Terminator 2 scene with a Minigun. However most of these weapons indeed appear in the Terminator franchise like the .45 Long Slider from the Gun Store scene, Winchester shotgun from Terminator 2 beginning or the M16 used by Sarah Connor in T2. You also have an access to the weapons from the apocalyptic future like two variants of the Plasma Rifles (one used by the Resistance while second by Skynet) and that huge Plasma Cannon used by Columbu in Kyle's nightmare. The other weapons not from the Terminator are the Aliens Pulse Rifle used by the Colonial Marines (huge recoil so fire at short controlled bursts) and the Missile Launcher from Commando, you can fire all 4 in one valley. Redemption Denied is a short boss themed map made by Kan3 that resembles a PSX DOOM Map 54, with a spooky PSX like climax and of course a harder challenge - not only you have the monsters but also two Spiderminds + a main boss. Of course the beastiary of this map is not limited to just the mid-tier monsters, you also have the most annoying monsters such as Arch-Viles, Revenants or Barons of Hell to join the party, a really tough party. In the middle of the battle two of the mentioned Spider Masterminds will join the battle, thankfully the map is full of monsters so you might be able to dodge lots of fire because of the monster infighting. However after some time a really angry final boss decided to join the battle - while he does not have so many threatening attacks, it's partly invisible and loves to heal itself from time to time.

GUNCASTER 3.888 Doom mod together with a Armos Dungeon/Eastern Dungeon made by Darkstar Archangel on the Wyrm difficulty level, 100% Secrets achieved. GUNCASTER 3.888 this time, we play as the dragon Cygnis one of the most overpowered characters in the DOOM modifications so far, we can fly freely around the map, cast spells and possess overpowered weaponry. Armos Dungeon aka Eastern Dungeon is a single level made by Darkstar Archangel several years ago, its a pretty long and big map to explore with tons of secrets for you to find, but also a really beautiful one. The difficulty of the map differs a lot, while it is a real challenge for other gameplay mods where protagonist is somewhat weaker, with Guncaster it is sort of a nice fast-action paced playthrough, even with melee fighting. You begin in a large corridor with three doors to choose, only the one in the center gives you a way to progress through, but dont forget to grab a secret from one of the pillars at start, a shotgun and some ammo to it. When you cross the bridge an ever bigger hallway stands in front of you, you can grab an armor behind one of the doors (but it is an obvious trap too), to the right of the first doors you also have a secret behind fake wall. At the end of this big hallway there is another set of doors leading you to another corridor with few rooms to choose - these upstairs are closed, you must press two switches on the same level to unlock them. Once they are unlocked you move upstairs to find a pair of keys, its also good in few points of this playthrough that Cygnis has his own nightvision, because these rooms are incredibly dark and good luck in navigation. You have to find three keys to progress through the map (dunno if blue one is mandatory because its a secret too), the blue one is the most difficult to find because you need to find a really nicely hidden switch and shoot it. With all of the keys found you can finally go to the final arena closed behind four switches, since then it becomes really tough and final fight includes fighting few Cyberdemons, thankfully in the open space. Unfortunately because of this maps age (its over 5 years old) and compatibility issues you might get stuck in a large room with switches, so noclip might be needed to progress through it.

PROJECT BRUTALITY 3.0 together with AUGER ZENITH Cyberpunk themed Megawad by various authors on the Man and a Half difficulty level, Chaotic Random spawn preset, 100% Secrets achieved. Project Brutality 3.0 is an upcoming version of one of the best available mods for the classic Doom - expect a lot of fun when playing it. Please note that the Project Brutality 3.0 in its current state is still Work In Progress, so bugs are to be expected, together with crashes to desktop (same with addons, they are not 100% always compatible and actual). A second part of the Auger Zenith gameplay with reaching 100% Secrets on every map, this time we have to play through the levels from sixth to tenth, thankfully all of them are not a really long slugfest with tons of monsters. As you can see with map number six Android District there is a quite strong compatibility issue with Project Brutality - the rain is a player/NPC collision thus you cant move freely through it, it blocks a progress. Yes, you have to use a noclip to progress and reach the sewers at start of the map, it is also somewhat needed when reaching a maps finale because a big fight takes place in rain, so imagine these collisions EVERYWHERE you step. Next level called CYBERKILL is probably one of my favourites so far - a pretty fast map with not so complicated layout, a lot of open space you can clear the map from demons since the beginning, also pretty easy obtainable secrets. All of the secrets on map are basically hidden and small switches in different places, they are not too hard but also quite helpful, when you are about to finish the map prepare for a nasty ambush with two Arch-Viles at the end. Next level is a little bit more complicated and crazy, it is not so difficult to feel lost while exploring, I had few such moments where I was not sure where to go or where can I find a switch to open another set of doors or elevator. Map is quite claustrophobic too, there is not so many to place maneuver during the fights, also you can slide in of the areas to reach a yellow keycard earlier, its very useful trick because it saves a lof time and nerves. The Last Resort is a very short map that can be completed in less than 4 minutes, you basically have to fight demons while inside a Night Club, the exit is just nearby your starting location, sweet and nice map to play. Photon Geyser, a final map in this part of the playthrough is by far the longest and of course the most difficult with a massive fight at the end, hope you have really good weapons for few dozens of demons there.

Ok, so the Fuel Refinery level from Dragon Sector might closely remind you about The Focus from Doom II Hell On Earth, think of this map as enlarged remake with new rooms, HD textures and way more enemies. To make things even better (and slightly less difficult also), you can find some drones and turrets to help you in some corridors in rooms, but be observant cause some of them are nicely hidden from your eyes. The final area behind red doors surely need a big boost from these turrets but unfortunately a switch is hidden in one of the secret areas underwates (in the same corridor with Octaarachnotron waiting for you). Map is medium to large in its size and has a total of ELEVEN SECRETS for you to find out and they are pretty awesome because you can pick up almost everything from Soulspheres, Backpacks, ammunition even up to the BFG. Another interesting gimmick is that you need to be aware about crushing doors or bars - never stand below crushing bars or way too close to the doors, they can simply crush you when opening, instant death guaranteed. Just like in The Focus you need to find all keys in similar layout, even secret areas are familiar and work pretty much the same as before with lots of new areas and switches to find, map also needs quite a powerful rig to handle HD textures. The slowdowns might happen from time to time because map has a system of checkpoints that save your game immediately, must say its really helpful because map has some surprises for you like custom monsters. As I wrote earlier, try to turn as many turrets and drones as possible, because some of the custom monsters are really durable, these Arachnotrons at the end of the map can really hurt you in no time, really treacherous. Another interesting thing is an addition of fodder zombies that do not count to a total number of monsters, you can find them only in two corridors, they are very weak and can be taken down just with chainsaw.
