BRUTAL DOOM v21 GOLD release with DARK DOOM Z addon, map The Blood Gates for DOOM II Hell On Earth by NinjaDelphox on the Ultra-Violence difficulty level, 100% Secrets Achieved. The Blood Gates is a medium sized but a claustrophobic map where we have to face over 250+ demons, you may ask sometimes yourself, why so many demons on such a small level, how is it possible to hide all of them?. Welp, the answer is rather simple really - lots of them simply want to ambush you with the teleports to the map, when you see an empty place with no enemies around, be prepared for a nice trap to happen soon. For example when you are about to grab the blue skull key inside a cage, it seems that there is no danger to grab it, well nope, because instantly you are ambushed by two Revenants few meters from you. Soon after TWO ARCHVILES are going to be spawned next to you too, it will force you to either dispatch them instantly or run away from this small cage trap and find a cover as soon as possible somewhere else. But while you will be running to find a cover to save yourself, even more Barons of Hell, Hell Knights and Imps will be summoned to make things a little bit more difficult, either way this is why Megaarmor is around. Nearby there is also an optional door with a Soulsphere for you to pick up, however there is also a nice surprised to be found out - if there is a Soulsphere to pick, do not think that noone guards it. With blue skull key time to open a next area that has much more monsters and is also more complex, this one loves to place Chaingunners even more than before, same with Mancubi around. You will have to lower the yellow bars first with a switch in a small room crumped with Shotgunners first, then the teleported Pinkies and finally an Archvile that will ambush you at the end. With last area revealed here, there is a red skull to be grabbed but... there are also two Cyberdemons with a Spider Mastermind and company to block your exit, you can use a secret fake wall to get the BFG! Time to press the last skull switch that needs a key to open the last room with exit teleporter, but be aware that an Archvile with two Barons and two Chaingunners are waiting for your arrival.

PROJECT BRUTALITY 3.0 together with The Devils Machine/Die Teufelsmaschine by Lazlo Panaflex on the Man and a Half difficulty level, Chaotic Random spawn preset, 100% Secrets achieved. Project Brutality 3.0 is an upcoming version of one of the best available mods for the classic Doom - expect a lot of fun when playing it. Please note that the Project Brutality 3.0 in its current state is still Work In Progress, so bugs are to be expected, together with crashes to desktop (same with addons, they are not 100% always compatible and actual). Surely this map requires a strong GPU to handle it - it has a lot of reflections, light sectors, several rooms are really large with lots of details (I mean really a lot of them) and a mediocre number of monsters, ~530. It is advised to play this map at least once before doing a proper playthrough - the map layout might be really confusing as some areas are really similar to others, you might feel lost really easy in some places. You might notice some switches on the ceiling or on walls - these are shootable and they are mandatory to be shot, if you cant see such switch or you are stuck, unfortunately you have to try harder and you will rather find it. There is also one compatibility issue just at the end of the map, you will find a purple skull switch that has to be pressed to progress through - unfortunately you cant find such key while playing with Project Brutality, hurts a lot. The map has a total of six secrets to be explored, honestly all of them are required in my opinion - first we have a first aid Soulsphere after an ambush, then a Computer Map behind fake wall that can help you with map navigation. Then in the hit cave full of lava, you have two secrets pretty close to each other - behind a fake wall there is a Megasphere and tons of Cells, in a small cave with shootable switch to be opened, you have Invulnerability Sphere and Megaarmor with Soulsphere. The last two secrets are available behind the blue keycard doors - behind a fake wall there is some rocket ammo together with monsters, and near the end of the map there is another fake wall with rockets and Megasphere, you have to use panel nearby. As I wrote earlier prepare yourself while navigating through this labirynth of confusing corridors and really beautiful landscapes and textures, the map has also some really annoying ambushes like that one nearby your BFG. Basically this BFG will save you lots of time, without this weapon lots of the encounters can hurt you incredibly - map creator loves to give you some nasty surprises, especially with suddenly opening fake walls with monsters inside.

Pharaohs Wrath is a custom WAD that sends to the ancient Egypt, it also has custom monsters together with custom weapons like sword at the beginning or magic staff, it feels like Powerslave/Exhumed meeting Hexen in some places. The WAD has a lot of dark places like the beginning of the map or underwater areas, it might be good to equip yourself with a flashlight to overcome such difficulties, flashlight surely helps a lot when you destroy the lights by mistake. As I mentioned earlier the area has multiple places with underwater sections, its good to avoid panic when you feel lost underwater, the underwater places are thankfully not too complicated and you can easily find an exit. As for the difficulty of the map it can be described as a medium, not too easy or difficult, staying in between - only the beginning might be a little problematic when you want to open a secret area immediately due to Arachnotron inside. The biggest challenge might be dealing with the ambushes and traps that can be sneaky, also the exploding objects deal a huge amount of damage so please stay out of them to avoid unnecessary damage, ouch. Eventually you might find some conditional blockers that are unfortunately unavoidable once triggered, some of the doors can be opened only once, and if you fail to pass them through in time, you need to use a noclip. It is good to get as much secrets as possible because they are pretty crucial to make this map easier, you have a free backpack at the beginning with Super Shotgun, Soulsphere, bonus armors and Plasma Rifle with cells at the end.

Project Brutality 3.0 is an upcoming version of one of the best available mods for the classic Doom - expect a lot of fun when playing it. Roots of the Weeping Mountain is a really large map with a hub area in the center of the map, where using a switch you can turn the two-level stairs in 90 degrees to enter various rooms of this map. The map is quite difficult because it has between 600 to 700 monsters (because you know, some Pain Elementals) and it also houses multiple Cyberdemons and one Spider Mastermind NICELY SNEAKING FOR YOU in one place. Level also has a total of nine secrets for you to find out and in my opinion these are really crucial for you just to survive alone because multiple Megaspheres, Megaarmors, Cells and other stuff are there to find. Because of the levels quite high difficulty (you will find out later, why) there are also dozens of small armor and health bonuses scattered around in high quantities, pick them because they are needed a lot. You begin in the elevator where previous level had finished with a Cyberdemon fight in a small corridor (interesting, because whole Water Chapter has obligatory fight against Cyberdemons at the end of each level). When you move further there is already a first secret to be found, in the pillar there is a small switch that can be easily missed - a small alcove nearby will open, revealing a handy Berserk Pack just at the beginning of the map. The beginning of the map is also the only place where you are still fighting in outside, this is a quite small portion of the map because soon later you are going to enter the main part of the map, this Hub with stairs. To complete the level you need to find three skull keys scattered around various rooms and they are quite difficult to complete because AMBUSH AND SURPRISE are main themes of this level, some save loading might be needed here. This is a very difficult map that simply loves to troll you hard, a flashlight addon is very handy to be installed here because in some cases monsters will try to snipe you across large and dark areas without mercy.

AfterDoom is a well known mappack made by 00_Zombie_00 and Zombiemad that consists levels happenning just after the conclusion of DOOM titles and its episodes (every episode of The Ultimate Doom up to Thy Flesh Consumed and DOOM II Hell On Earth). This time we go somewhere else because Ultimate Doom and Doom II had been already covered... we are going to explore a demonic reality after a final battle against Demon Queen in DOOM 64, you remember these three annoying portals at the end, right? For the first time we are going to see whats behind these three portals that summoned demons all the time (unless you reached secret levels to deactivate them) to help Demon Queen in the fight against DOOM 64 Doomguy, so lets roll. Level begins just after the fight against a Demon Queen (if you played Brutal Doom 64 you will notice someting really familiar), grab a Super Shotgun and finish her off or leave it, up to you and has no consequences at all. You have to choose between two teleporters with an arena fight inside, both give to you an early Rocket Launcher or Chaingun - both are mandatory to be completed, that with Cyberdemon and Arachnotrons is in my opinion more difficult to be completed. Once both arenas are completed its time to enter a final portal where the main action of the level takes place, you will enter some kind of realm known from DOOM 64 or even DOOM Eternal levels, it does not look so hellish as used to be. Some kind of Hellish Castle or Keep floating above bluish void, comprised of few arena fights (thankfully in open areas) but also having some nasty tricks against you, that constantly teleporting Cyberdemon is extremely annoying and dangerous. Once you collect all the keys, behind a red skull door there is a final arena with lots of Hell Knights and Revenants inside, of course there is a huge boss waiting for you too, thankfully not so hard but his best buddies might be problematic. It will be good for you to get as many secrets as possible because they contain the only possible backpack to be found (or upgrade), a Soulsphere, a Megaarmor and a Megasphere placed in a really dangerous and tricky area to find.

TERMINATOR Judgment Doom mod together with Extermination Day WAD played on Ultra-Violence difficulty level, 100% Secrets achieved. So, the Judgment Doom is a modification based on the Terminator franchise, this time we play as T-800 together with his new HUD - the CRT effect is turned on by default and this is not a part of my ReShade preset :). This modification is in a very early stage (0.2 alpha) so lots of the things are missing like pickup sprites for every weapon, some animations (Spas-12 is missing entirely with Winchester as placeholder) and some other things. T-800 can be upgraded with four different upgrades found during the game - picking up a Berserk Pack gives you a PERMANENT speed boost, extremely useful because T-800 is really slow by default, like man didnt you watch Terminator 1? Second upgrade gives you a better armor resistance permanently by grabbing a Soulsphere, Computer Map shows a small Picture In Picture with zoom, Megasphere slowly regenerates your health (Core). As expected, T-800 is seriously overpowered in terms of resilience, you have tons of armor that is really tough to crack, however once armor is took down your core is exposed and you lose health way quicker than before. The most important thing for you is of course T-800s arsenal - in the first slot you will find a semi-automatic/automatic pistol, this is based on the Beretta of T-1000 that it used in the Galleria, suppressed and does not use any ammo. In slot 2 you have M-4 Assault Rifle, automatic rifle with decent firepower but its not something cool, in 3rd slot there are two shotguns, Winchester Lever-Action Shotgun and currently also a placeholder to (probably) SPAS-12. With next slots its time for really big toys for T-800, you have a basic Minigun with SFX really close to those used in Terminator 2, your explosive weapon is nothing else than a trusty M-79 Thumper but damage is somewhat mediocre. Then its time for Plasma weapon - of course slot 6 is occupied by Westinghouse Phased Plasma Rifle in 40 Watt Range (what else could it be?), BFG is replaced by a Plasma Cannon, exactly the same weapon used in T1 by Franco Columbu. Modification surely needs a lot of improvement but this is a first mod I see with three different vision modes for a player at start and there is no fully functional Terminator mod yet :)

Siren 0.7 Mod (Weapon Only + Monsters edition) from DitheredOutput together with DOOM Remaster Demo by StalkerBlade on Ultra-Violence difficulty level with 100% Secrets achieved. Welcome to the Siren mod for DOOM, in this modification gameplay is tactical oriented and a bit slower plus way more dangerous than you can be used to. First off, the monsters added to this mod are way more dangerous without a doubt, they hit way harder in terms of damage, are incredibly aggressive (they simply attack you in sight) and really fast too. Some of the monsters are simply relentless like these incredibly fast Imps, they will jump at you, quickly jump on ceilings to avoid your fire and of course throw fireballs and shred with your claws in melee range. These Imps can also play dead to trick you, once you are close to them and you do not look at them, they will simply wake up and shred with their talons, but they are so weak too, think of the Lizard Troopers from Duke Nukem 3D. The former Zombies are intelligent, fast and accurate too, the shotgunners can be a nightmare to deal with, especially when you are playting from a pistol start, their shotguns deal a lot of damage, they are quite like a sniper. As for the weapons in this mod, all of them are reworked when compared to the vanilla DOOM, there are lots of them at your disposal, starting from the simple knife that serves as your last resort weapon (deals lot of damage tho). By default you also have an access to the pistol, not the strongest weapon and might lack a punch, especially later gets overshadowed by two shotguns from third slot, they are slow but surely can kill weaker enemies with one shot. Then there is a Rifle and the Minigun, both of these are really strong weapons - Rifle shoots in a 3 round burst and can be aimed with ADS, while the Chaingun has to wind up and is not accurate at all but stunlocks enemies. The Flamethrower has two modes of fire - first are the short range small projectiles that latch on everything and burn it, second is a stream of gas/gasoline that can be ignited for later, devastating but some enemies seem to be fire resistant. Last but not least is the Phased Plasma Rifle in The 40 Watt Range, it has a huge power cell with 500 units, can be used as a Plasma Rifle to make your enemies crispy or can be used as a Railgun in a second mode of fire.

PROJECT BRUTALITY 3.0 and ALL REALMS for DOOM II Hell On Earth by Romsu89, Chaotic Random Spawn Preset on Man And A Half Difficulty Level with 100% Secrets Achieved. Project Brutality 3.0 is an upcoming version of one of the best available mods for the classic Doom - expect a lot of fun when playing it. Please note that the Project Brutality 3.0 in its current state is still Work In Progress, so bugs are to be expected, together with crashes to desktop (same with addons, they are not 100% always compatible and actual). All Realms is a quite difficult two map long WAD, you have tons of surprises to find and also quite tricky secrets to explore, plus the framerate might drag you a little during the playthrough. Both of the maps are really difficult in some places, lots of the places are ambushes from the enemies, lots of these arenas love to suddenly teleport an enemy or two just next to you. Basically when you use a switch while playing these two maps, you can rather be prepared for a trap nearby, after some minutes I was used to it a lot, ambush is almost certain. You can also surely look for secrets on both maps, as they make your playthrough a lot easier, it is necessary to grab as many of them as you can because of the ammo, BFG, Megaspheres, armors, etc. Both maps are quite different and similar at the same moment, first level has some Blood vibes with that mix of tech and blood textures, while the second as clear Duke Nukem 3D and Aliens climaxx. First map begins like a typical vanilla Phobos level, lots of the toxic slime and similar green walls, but as you go deeper and deeper, you will notice that something is really strange here. Find all secrets because one of them has a BFG that will help you a lot here, there are some nasty Cyberdemons here that love to teleport, you are also going to meet that custom Cyberdemon enemy, too. The next level seems a little bit easier but also is not that easy, a Doom Eternal Marauder makes a guest appearance here, this map is smaller but also more action packed than previous one imo. It also has way more secrets (a total of 9), some of them are really nicely hidden with these really small switches, shafts or alcoves to use, just be aware of monsters everywhere.

PROJECT BRUTALITY 3.0 together with Underground Complex mappack by Razor-Wind on the Man and a Half difficulty level, Chaotic Random spawn preset, 100% Secrets achieved, Doomguy fanart by Kracov... Project Brutality 3.0 is an upcoming version of one of the best available mods for the classic Doom - expect a lot of fun when playing it. Underground Complex is a really nice and fast level created by RazoR-Wind, it contains over 350+ monsters at start, 6 secrets and over 50 items to be found, it also has two custom monsters added to the level. Two because of the suicidal Protozoid Slimers and I think that these Belphegors just at the end are custom added too because they are incredibly strong, even Quad Damage BFG blast did not destroy them. You begin outside the complex, just at the Helipad and all you have to do is to enter it, eliminate some Zombies outside and grab your first armor, might be handy once you go inside, there are some nasty Chaingunners too. Get inside grab some health bonuses and ammunition because fight has been tough fore sure, you can also grab a Chainsaw and some health bonuses in the room with Pustules or completely ignore it, its not mandatory. Just nearby a switch that has yellow keycard needed to open, there is your first secret - simply shoot at the ventilation grate and move there to get some armor bonus, first secret found out of 6 on the map. Move further and you will notice a big elevator, once you are about to press an ambush will appear - take them down and just jump down, in the room to your right is another secret wirh Berserk behind fake closet. With having a red keycard, move to another part of the Complex through the sewers, get as many ammo as possible because probably you might suffer from the ammo shortages as I did, thankfully there are lots of backpacks. When you receive a huge room with lava below and walls made of flesh with some jumping required, you are close to enter a final arena with a lot of monsters inside a two custom Belphegors, Spider Mastermind and Cyberdemon to take down. I was also really lucky with the spawn presets because having spawned Commander Shotgun, Heavy Machine Gun and PainGiver at once is a huge thing because all of these mentioned weapons kick demons ass big time!
