On July 15, 2015, Brooks Houck, Crystal Rogers' boyfriend and the last person to see her alive, is interviewed by Nelson County Sheriff's Office Detective Jon Snow. Late in the interview, Houck's brother Nick -- then a Bardstown City Police officer -- interrupts the interview with a phone call, warning his brother not to allow himself to be trapped into some sort of admission of guilt. Nick Houck is later fired from his job for failing to cooperate with investigators and for interfering with the investigation with his call during this interview.
