Based on my design for a 1-wide silent 1-clock, here's an auto-dropper that runs at maximum speed (1 item every 2 ticks) and is still one-wide and tileable.
If you're dropping or dispensing into a container it's also completely silent!
I show why this might be better than an observer clock based system (Spoiler: this one is faster).
