Come behind the scenes of a truly epic delivery! 📦

The operation to move a 104-tonne transformer to Manapōuri Power Station last month was the first time a piece of generation equipment that large had been barged across Lake Manapōuri.

While the delivery from Bluff only took a couple of days, the planning for a safe, efficient and successful operation was many months in the making.

A massive thank you to our team, partners, contractors and suppliers - together they pulled off an outstanding result for New Zealand's electricity supply ahead of Winter '25.
