Okay so, I've been a huge fan of this ever since it came out a few months ago. One day I was curious what a sped-up nightcore version would sound like, and it was sick tbh. That got the gears turning in my head, so you know, I decided to make my own sped up version of it!
As I started putting together the instrumental, I realized Anthony would do an amazing job with the vocals, so I hit them up! I originally wasn't going to do any vocals, but I tried out some stuff on the second verse and liked it.
I honestly struggled pretty hard on the chorus though, belt-y stuff like that in my voice crack range is not something I'm good at. I probably could've done a better job if I spent more time practicing, but I'm pretty self-conscious about singing loud tbh :(
I'm pretty happy with my part before the last chorus though, I've always enjoyed singing higher/lighter stuff like that!
----------
Oh yeah, almost forgot this fun thing that happened:
When I asked Anthony if they could do the rhythm guitars, I sent a version of my instrumental that had some of my demo guitars. Anthony ended up recording some parts in the second verse that I originally came up with, and I thought was really cool!
Huge thanks to Anthony for helping out with this cover, I couldn't have done it without them!!
----------
Also, I got this new telecaster from my former boss! I didn't record audio with it for this, but I've been using it for some other stuff and it's great. I think it looks pretty dope in the video. :)
Okay, hold up. Fr fr, last thing. I originally started working on this cover on May 21st, so it's been in the works for over two months. It honestly took me forever to get the instrumental to sound good and I really, really struggled with the vocal mix at first. I went on vacation to LA for a week in July, and when I came back I tried mixing the vocals, but it just sounded terrible. I ended up having to redo the entire vocal mix from scratch, but it ended up improving it drastically. I'm very happy that I stuck with it!
~ ✧ ~ production stuff! ~ ✧ ~
I'm not gonna go super into detail this time.
GGD Modern and Massive for the main drums, some layers added with SSD5, and samples from Logic's EXS24 (Sampler).
I'm pretty sure all the crunchy and distorted rhythm guitar tones were done with Archetype: Nolly. The cleans were done with Logic's Amp Designer.
I had a lot of fun adding a bunch of random sounds in the breakdown. Some of the more notable sounds I added were Lego Yoda Death Sound (twice), Tom Scott choking on vape, and my cat Ash.

This one was a lot of fun, but it took me way too long to edit the video because school was in the way. Everything in this video (except for that stupid intro) was shot with my iPhone. From now on, I will be using my new camera (a canon powershot I got for ~$100 bucks at a pawn shop).

FINALLY!!! Ive been working on this one for far too long and it is really satisfying to get it up after all of this time. Although it isnt my absolute favorite track from Majoras Mask, I really love this song. I kinda feel bad for not doing something interesting with the whole upside-down thingy. :P

![Majoras Mask - Song of Healing - Cover [VGMC] [Music Videos]
A cover of one of my favorite songs in VGM history. The Song of Healing is probably my second favorite song in The Legend of Zelda: Majoras Mask for many reasons. For one, its integral to the game and plays a great deal of importance to the gameplay, its written well, and the scenes it is played during are very emotional and really pull at my heart strings quite honestly. The Song of Healing was composed by Koji Kondo.
