Launched in 2018 in Florida, Brightline was designed to take cars off the road and offer millions of travelers a convenient, appealing, and eco-friendly way to move between the nation’s most visited city pairs. They feature frequent, comfortable, modern trains and are the first privately-held intercity passenger railroad in the U.S. in nearly 40 years.
In the past year Brightline has opened new stations in Florida, had their trains reach 130 mph in testing and are nearly ready to launch service to Orlando International Airport. With all of their success, Brightline does not plan on stopping there. There are plans to extend their Florida service to Tampa and they are making progress on Brightline West, a planned high-speed train from Las Vegas to Southern California.
