With the popularity of the Jackson 5, other groups emerged with young lead singers. The group Brighter Side Of Darkness from Chicago scored a big hit in 1973 with this song Love Jones. The lead singer was 12 year old Darryl Lamont. Unlike the Jackson 5, the group's success was short-lived with one major hit, an album "Love Jones" and by 1974 the group disbanded.
