Which animal is the odd one out and why?

Remember, there are lots of “right” answers but you must be able to explain the reasons for your choice. You will find the more you think about it, the more reasons you will be able to come up with and the more interesting your discussion will be. If you’re doing the activity with your family, try to choose a different photograph from everyone else. For an extra challenge, take each picture in turn and think of as many reasons as you can that could make it the odd one out. Now have a look around you – what four similar things could you choose to play the game again?

Ages: 4–12 year-olds
