This performance is about as raw as my emotions right now, and I only just managed to sing it, fighting back the endless tears, as I buried my beloved pet bunny a week ago, and my heart is very heavy with sadness. I was blessed to have had him as my best little buddy for four years. He was saved by one of our animal welfare charities and had suffered terrible cruelty and neglect. Considering his past life, he was a beautiful, trusting and lovable boy... My life was enriched by his sweet nature. He followed me everywhere and even slept in my bedroom at night. I miss him more than words can say.
I had intended to cover this a while ago, but for very different reasons. My dear friend and talented composer/ song writer Hal Dickens, kindly follows my art page on facebook, and mentioned that some of my work reminded him of the illustrations from the movie Watership Down, which features this song.
So today, I not only honour Bisto bunny, but also Hal for his friendship and support, with a link to a beautiful composition he wrote and added my art in the video.
