The Canton of Valais is one of the most visited regions of Switzerland. It’s a great place to go for a road trip. Very nice is to visit the old city of Brig with its prominent Stockalper Castle. The castle is a historic piece that today is a local tourist attraction. The Stockalper Castle charms with its many arcades and the three towers with their onion shapes domes. Definitely visit the castle, take many photos and roam around the old city of Brig. It’s in general less-touristy but the locals are going to provide some great vibes! Then head towards Saas-Fee. You may take either the bus or then ascend by car. Make sure to stop at Saas Balen. Over there are the Fellbach waterfalls, a true hidden gem of this touristy region. The Fellbachfalls easily may rank among the most beautiful waterfalls of Switzerland and serve as a great photographic spot! Head then to the village of Saas-Fee and explore the town by walk. Saas-Fee is car-free, which is the reason why there is such an authentic holiday spirit up there. The village has many traditional wooden houses, alleys, streets and even a canyon to explore. The most beautiful part of Saas-Fee is at the rock with the many old wooden houses. This part is definitely a must-visit! Take a time out at one of the many restaurants or the hotels Walliserhof or the Capra. Having a cheese fondue is quite nice, especially when sitting outside on a terrace, while watching the sunset and overseeing the village at dusk. Do explore the village of Saas-Fee during dusk and night, the colors are going to be very vibrant. Take the budget travelers option by going up to the Hannig lookout by cable car. The Hannig is a less-known tourist attraction of Saas-Fee. You will have a great view over the village, the many peaks of the Swiss Alps as well as the many glaciers present. From the Hannig, you may start a hike; going down to Saas-Fee and approaching the wall with the glaciers. Saas-Fee is considered being the village of the glaciers, thanks to which it became a tourist magnet in Switzerland. Also quite fun to try out would be the Feeblitz alpine rollercoaster, which is going to seal your trip up with some thrill! All in all, Saas-Fee is a wonderful place, it’s one of the most beautiful villages of Switzerland and one of the best locations to visit in the Swiss Alps!

![Neuchâtel: Unique City in Switzerland - Mediterranean Vibes [Travel Guide]
Neuchâtel (Neuenburg) is considered to be one of Switzerland most beautiful cities. It lays in the French speaking part of Switzerland and enchants with its visitors with its happy vibes. The city is very vibrant, many people love to stroll through the various streets and alleys, do shopping or go for sightseeing. The city is full of limestone houses, which are very characteristic for Neuchâtel, rendering this city very distinct from the others of Switzerland. A must-see are the castle and the church on the hill in the middle of the city. They are considered historic landmarks from the days when Neuchâtel still followed a royal system being under French or Prussian rule. The church’s interior is very beautiful, especially with the ceiling. Neuchâtel has a beautiful lake promenade. Point of interest are Beau Rivage and the docks with the many boats. During Summer you even can go for swimming.
Neuchâtel is best to be reached by train, although arrival by car is possible. The train station is about 15 minutes from the city centre by walk, but you may take a shortcut by bus. Neuchâtel and the entire canton are great for cheap vacations as they have some attractive budget travelers offers. If you stay in any hotel in the canton, you get a booklet full of vouchers that provide you free public transportation and entry to the museums during the date of validity. It is valid for 1 day if you stay for 1 night, otherwise as many days as nights that you booked. All in all, Neuchâtel is a wonderful Swiss city, underrated but among the most beautiful ones!

![Top 10 Switzerland Places I visited in 2021 – Best Attractions / Highlights [Travel Guide]
I was hopeful to do some international travels in 2021, but instead I stayed back in Switzerland. Nevertheless, I managed to travel around a lot in my home country Switzerland. The year 2021 was full of highlights: I got to discover many hidden gems and other Top places of Switzerland. Thus, after all these travels, I present you my Top 10 Switzerland places that I visited in the year 2021. Switzerland offers so many amazing things: great hiking trails, lakes, cities, villages, adventurous activities and more! I really enjoyed my visit to the city of Thun, which is very comparable to more famous Lucerne. Thun is a wonderful old city with wooden bridges just by the lake with a great alpine panorama and you can even see the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. The discovery of the year was my visit to the Lake of Les Brenets (Parc du Doubs) in the canton of Neuchâtel. I would say its one of the best places to witness the colors of Autumn. Really beautiful were the cruise on the Brenets lake and the visit to the Saut du Doubs. The adventure park at the Rhine Falls were also really thrilling. There are so many great trails with tricky obstacles. Fun, lots of zip lines and great views to the Rhinefalls. Sledding at the town of Bergün was really cool too! The village is very charming during Winter and the train ride up to Preda with the famous glacier express was quite exciting. The toboggan run was fantastic: Great views to the train line when sledding down hill for a couple of kilometres! The hidden gem of 2021 was the Lake at Champex-Lac. Its a wonderful hidden gem that is stunning at any time of the year. The lake looks brilliant and is a true oasis of serenity. A great place to take a break. Chästeilet at the Justital was one of my favorite traditions I got to witness in 2021. Its a unique event, where the farmers are sharing their cheeses among each other through a lucky draw process. Its a great event that very well represents Swiss culture! Up on the Fronalpstock, I had one of my best sunsets I have wintessed in 2021. There was a sea of clouds, which covered the entire landscape. Only few mountains were visible, which gave the scene a wonderful impression. I consider this being a Top destination up in the Swiss Alps. Lake Saoseo was the most beautiful lake I probably have ever visited. For that I had to hike up 2 hours and got so many wonderful impressions. The lake was glowing in a wonderful blue color, which was complemented by the green spruces and golden larches... a top highlight of Autumn in Switzerland. Very enjoyable was my sunrise tour at the Altesch Glacier. The panorama over the glacier and the Swiss Alps was unforgettable. The hike down to the Märjelensee was also very enjoyable, especially when having reached the front of the glacier. The Altesch Glacier is the largest glacier of the Alps! The best trip I made was to Oeschinensee. Its a wonderful lake embedded in the bernese Alps. The lake is a perfect place for hiking. There are a lot of great photospots... in fact, many people say that Oeschinensee is considered an instagram wonder of Switzerland. Really thrilling was also the Alpine Rollercoaster, which shall not be missed when visiting up there. These are the Top 10 best places of Switzerland that I visited in 2021!
