The construction of the Waterside Bridge in Nottingham marks a historic moment for the city – its first new river crossing in more than 65 years.
As part of this landmark project, the 87-metre, 161-tonne bridge was lifted into place over the River Trent, connecting the Trent Basin area and Lady Bay to bring together the communities in Nottingham and Rushcliffe.
Delivered on behalf of Nottingham City Council through the SCAPE Civil Engineering Framework, the bridge will improve sustainable travel for pedestrians and cyclists and help shape a greener, more connected future for the city.
