BRIDGE BETWEEN US | Shavon Bonnie Legion ft. Makis Gibs

"Bridge Between Us" is an original song about the things that connect us beneath the noise, labels, fear, and division. It was written during a time when it felt like so many people were being pulled apart by opinions, headlines, algorithms, and uncertainty. Yet beneath all of that, I still see something beautiful in humanity a fire that never completely goes out.

This video is a simple performance piece created from live-capture footage of the musicians who brought the song to life. I filmed my vocal performance in my home studio surrounded by my paintings, while featured guitarist Makis Gibs recorded his guitar performance from Greece. Brian Grass joins the project on bass guitar and assisted with production.

The video was edited entirely by me and pushed my old editing setup right to its limits. It isn't perfect, but it is honest, and I hope that spirit comes through. I struggled with my decision on black and white but with all the lighting shifts in the room, and the tone of the song I felt it was the right choice here, giving that underneath grit, yet spotlight feel with the whitebox filter.
