The African American church is facing serious challenges, and in this video we examine several controversial stories involving prominent Black pastors and Christian leaders. We begin with Derek Prince’s teaching about African American churches, spiritual bondage, and legalism, and then look at the broader condition of the church today. We discuss Prophet Brian Carn’s federal prison sentence, Fred Price Jr. calling out Pastor G. Craig Lewis, and the growing use of entertainment and controversial sermon illustrations by pastors such as Michael Todd. We also examine concerns about progressive Christianity, prosperity theology, fatherlessness, biblical accountability, and why Scripture commands Christians to expose works of darkness while holding church leaders to a higher standard.
We also examine the resignation of Metro World Child founder Bill Wilson following the ministry’s announcement of “inappropriate conduct,” while carefully distinguishing what has been publicly confirmed from allegations that remain undisclosed or unverified. Craige Lewis, Michael Todd, Derek Prince, and Bill Wilson, this video asks a difficult question: What is happening in the African American church, and how should Christians respond? This is not about attacking people because of race or denomination—it is about calling the entire Body of Christ back to biblical truth, repentance, holiness, sound doctrine, accountability, and the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The church cannot ignore corruption, sexual immorality, financial misconduct, false teaching, or compromised leadership simply because confronting it is uncomfortable.
