After our 2019 expose, The Final Race ( youtube.com/watch?v=Zp-ALoBRW20 ) the racing industry finally stated that they do have a responsibility to the horse for life, not just while they are racing. This is what that looks like.
Time and time again we see racing continues to wipe its hands of the horses it no longer wants. Only the very lucky ones get the chance at a good life. Most are left to become the responsibility of someone else or killed for pet food. That is the racing industry's "retirement" plan.
