Back in 2004 I had this idea to walk from the Storey Arms in the Brecon Beacons to the Nye Bevan Memorial Stones in Ebbw Vale. The walk is just under 18 miles and the finishing point is just about 600 yards as the crow flies from my home. The route took in all the main peaks of the central beacons and through the old Trefil Quarries where we were met with something of a surprise! I persuaded an old work colleague (Alun) to join me and we did it at the end of July which turned out to be an absolute scorcher of a day !! Back then it was just pics so no video but I have written some notes of places enroute.
