A production covering the alienation effect in acting was also known as the V-effect or distancing effect. It was a theatrical technique developed by Bertolt Brecht to prevent audiences from becoming emotionally immersed in a play and to encourage them to think critically about the themes and messages.

The video covers:

Distancing:
The primary goal is to create distance between the audience and the theatrical experience, preventing them from becoming overly emotionally invested in the characters and events.

Breaking the Fourth Wall:
Brecht often used techniques that disrupt the illusion of reality, such as actors addressing the audience directly or using props and stage directions that reveal the artificiality of the performance.

Making the Familiar Unfamiliar:
By presenting ordinary situations or characters in an unconventional or strange way, Brecht encouraged audiences to look at them with a new perspective and question their assumptions.
