Sally Van Nuys, Artist | "Breaking Out" | Using Vicki Boutin Pigment Powders for the First Time @SallyVanNuysMixedMediaArtist | Uploaded May 2020 | Updated October 2024, 6 hours ago.
Playing with Vicki Boutin's pigment powders in my small Dylusions art journal toady. I had not tried them before, and I really enjoyed using them. I can think of a lot of ways to use them! I think they will work well in cold wax paintings, too. I created the background while playing with these, and then added some small collages and doodles to finish it off. When I was drying the page with my heat tool, the acetate in the film holder over her face melted, so I named the spread "Breaking Out."
