First all it's not really a paradox, that's just the name, but here's a revisit to the popular breaking board demonstration on air pressure. The common explanation has touted that sheet of newspaper is applying 8,000 to 15,000 pounds of force toehold a board down against the table surface while it breaks. Some variations are tried in this video to test this theory and verify the prevailing explanation, further testing of this demonstration show this is not quite the case.
