BREAKING: Mayo TD Paul Lawless silent on abuse of elderly at Castlebar hospital
In recent weeks there has been shock and outrage from the public over the horrific treatment of elderly people in Mayo University Hospital.
Despite ongoing public concern, local and national politicians have maintained a shameful silence on this matter.
In recent days Mayo Aontú TD Paul Lawless has issued “an urgent call” for the Taoiseach to visit Mayo University Hospital to witness “the immense difficulty” facing the facility. Absolutely nothing was said by Lawless about the inhumane treatment of vulnerable elderly patients within this hospital.
We urge people not to be deceived by Paul Lawless or any other politician. Any public representatives who are silent on the abuse of elderly people within our hospitals are themselves complicit in that abuse.
