BREAKING: Fake general election ‘debate’ held in Mayo with public not informed - Government Minister escapes in van to avoid questions on Enoch Burke
The 'debate' was chaired by former Mayor of Castlebar Aidan Crowley. When questioned on the lack of public awareness of the event, Mr Crowley said "that's a matter for the Chamber, not me."
Aontú candidate Paul Lawless is a teacher in Ballyhaunis Community School which is 40 minutes from Enoch Burke’s home in Castlebar. A so-called conservative, Lawless has been persistently silent on the ongoing imprisonment of teacher Enoch Burke after he would not endorse transgenderism.
We spoke to Lawless at the McWilliam Park Hotel in Co. Mayo where the election ‘debate’ took place at 8am this morning, attended by many of Mayo’s general election candidates. Hardly any members of the public were present.
This event - unpublicised by local media - was a mockery of democracy. None of the election candidates invited the public to attend - instead participating in a charade of democracy with Senator Lisa Chambers posting pictures of the 'debate' to social media later today AFTER it had happened.
No other public debates are scheduled in County Mayo before the country goes to the polls in one of the most serious elections in our history.
We questioned Paul Lawless on why he has had nothing to say about Enoch Burke’s imprisonment, or the depraved SPHE curriculum now being taught to children across the country.
Government Minister Dara Calleary of Fianna Fáil was also present. When he learned of our presence outside, however, he refused to leave the building, waiting for almost an hour while the ministerial car circled the hotel. Eventually Minister Calleary left the premises in disguise via a white van to avoid facing questions on Enoch Burke.
The ongoing silence of our elected representatives on Enoch Burke’s incarceration is an appalling disgrace.
