Did Nothing Wrong
Rules:
- The difficulty must be set to Hard for all fights the party participates in.
- EXP gain must be turned off (JP gain is still allowed).
- Norende must not be developed in any way. This is to prevent access to items, equipment, and special moves that can completely break the game.
- The use of Bravely Second is not allowed (not that you can get more SP with Citra, but still).
His attack pattern is actually a pretty big cause for concern, so it's important to know what it is you're getting into. He has an ability that deals a fixed 1000 damage, which is a guaranteed kill for a no exp party, and on every turn that is a multiple of 4, he will default, and then follow up with two Braves, which he will spend on an attack that deals his missing HP in damage, a basic attack, and Poison Hi-Potion, so it's a guaranteed death to at least two. The method in the video is somewhat dependent on rng and is quite expensive, but it is the fastest one I found.
Godspeed Strike makes it's glorious return and can deal between 7~8k damage. Qada can put Regen on himself, but Rinagebl handily outpaces it, so it's not an issue. Having Tiz tank all of the hits leading up to turn 4 is the most optimal way of doing this fight, as it gives Edea and Agnes the breathing room they need to feed Ringabel that sweet Blue Drank and rebuff him as needed, and by the turn Qada braves, Tiz and Edea can insure that Ringabel and Agnes get the chance to do the last setup needed to bring Qada's HP down to 0.
