The Brandt-Daroff habituation exercise for dizziness is demonstrated in this video. This exercise is ideal for those who are unable to easily perform the more aggressive series of home vestibular exercises shown in this video: youtu.be/9Au1Sjx2pH8
Keep in mind that the Brandt-Daroff exercises are meant for those in whom no obvious cause or diagnosis can be figured out. That said, it sometimes can be used in the treatment for BPPV in order to help dislodge and/or break up the otolith crystals. In turn, this allows the more traditional BPPV maneuvers to work better.
These exercises should be performed for five repetitions, twice a day, for two weeks.
