BrainVR Experience: youtu.be/8rI_03FqLdk

The three pound organ sitting behind your eyes is nothing short of extraordinary. Symphonic activity among billions of neurons in the brain gives rise to thoughts, feelings, and ultimately the perspective and personality that turn a brain into a mind.

Eyewire pushes the frontiers of science, crowdsourcing brain mapping through an online game. Thanks to cutting-edge artificial intelligence, nanoscale resolution imaging, and seriously powerful computers, interactive neuroscience paves the way for immersive visualizations.

BrainVR invites visitors to experience the first working neural circuit ever put into VR. Explore giant neurons and paint with light to activate motion detection circuits at synapse level precision. BrainVR sparks both cells and curiosity, leaving visitors with a sense of wonder and awe for the intricate complexity of the incredible human brain.

BrainVR released at the Games and Media Summit presented by Games for Change and Tribeca Film Festival 2016.

BrainVR is created by Eyewire and MIT Media Lab’s Fluid Interfaces group. Learn more about BrainVR at brainvr.media.mit.edu
