A major tournament in the Philippines ended in chaos — top Vietnamese singles players Quang Duong and Phuc Huynh made it to the finals and couldn't agree on which ball to play with. Quang Duong had been using a 48-hole ball throughout the entire tournament while Phuc Huynh played with the standard 40-hole ball. When they met in the final, no compromise could be reached — not even a coin flip. Tournament officials awarded double gold medals and the final was never played.
Zane and Nico break down what actually happened, how Quang Duong got away with using a different ball through the quarters and semis without anyone flagging it, and who's really at fault — the players, the referees, or the two competing ball sponsors.
