I’ve used them daily for nearly a month, from long flights to marathon editing sessions, and they’ve never once caused pressure or fatigue. Weighing only 254 grams with plush cushioning and a padded headband, these are built for long-term comfort. The premium, minimalist design looks sleek in every colorway, though you’ll want to keep a cloth handy—the matte surface does pick up smudges. While I wish the earcups swiveled inward like most headphones, the compact hardshell case makes them super travel-friendly.
Sound quality is where these shine. You get clean mids, rich bass, and crisp highs—even at high volume—and the adjustable EQ in the Bose app lets you fine-tune your ideal mix. Bose’s Immersive Audio adds spatial sound that feels fixed in front of you or moves with your head, depending on the mode, but it’s more of a fun bonus than a must-have. What is a must-have, though, is the excellent active noise cancellation. Whether on a plane or out jogging, it filters out most distractions, and custom ANC modes help personalize your experience. Aware Mode sounds natural, letting in just the right amount of ambient noise without that robotic effect.
Controls are intuitive and genuinely useful. You get media playback with a few simple taps, a responsive volume strip on the right earcup, wear detection that auto-pauses, and even custom gestures to trigger Spotify or check battery life. It supports multipoint pairing—flawlessly switching between my Pixel and Surface—and the battery lasts up to 24 hours, depending on usage. If you forget to turn them off, sleep mode has you covered.
