Provisional Titles:Boruto’s MISCALCULATION Is Leading To Konoha’s DESTRUCTION
**Amado has spent years attempting to accomplish something almost nobody in Boruto has successfully done on his terms: bring his daughter Akebi back from the dead. However, the mythology surrounding Amado's story could be warning that getting Akebi back might be considerably worse than losing her.
Amado's surname is Sanzu, immediately creating an interesting connection to the Sanzu River found in Japanese Buddhist tradition. The river is associated with the journey of the dead into the afterlife, making it an incredibly fitting name for a scientist whose entire life revolves around reversing death.
But that is only the beginning.
This video examines the Japanese Shinto story of Izanagi and Izanami and the disturbing similarities it potentially shares with Amado's journey. Izanagi refuses to accept Izanami's death and travels into Yomi attempting to retrieve her, only to discover that death has changed the person he desperately wanted returned.
There is also an interesting comparison with the Buddhist story of Kisā Gotamī, a grieving mother who desperately searches for a way to resurrect her dead child before eventually being forced to confront the universality of death and impermanence.
Amado has refused to learn that lesson.
Instead, science has allowed him to continue searching for another solution. Cloning failed to truly restore Akebi, so Amado turned toward Karma and Otsutsuki resurrection.
That could have horrifying consequences.
Karma is fundamentally tied to the Otsutsuki clan. If Amado successfully uses it to resurrect Akebi, what happens if she returns as something other than human?
Akebi becoming an Otsutsuki would finally give Amado his greatest wish while simultaneously turning that wish into his worst nightmare.
Amado might successfully bring his daughter back across the river of death.
The question is what comes back with her.**
