Writers and authors have more responsibilities to their books than just writing them. They also have to market them. And what better way to market them than to show off their book covers in engaging ways?

Book Brush is one such tool that helps an author get his or her book out into the marketing space effectively. By using Book Brush's Canva-like graphics system and tiny mockups of the book as an e-book or paperback, an author can create custom ads for any social media, as well as craft designs for email campaigns, Amazon product pages, and more.

But Book Brush does more than just provide authors with a simple canvas for designing ads. It also provides the author with instant mockups: images of readers actually reading the book, even though these readers have never actually seen the book. It's revolutionary.

It's also something that rival book ad design software MockupShots specializes in.

This video takes a brief look at both apps and compares their strengths and weaknesses in relation to each other. It also shows how using both apps can increase the author's marketing reach, especially if he or she has access to other third-party design apps like Canva or VistaCreate.
