This speed drawing channels the raw, underground cartoon energy of Robert Crumb and his contemporaries. Distorted proportions, crowded composition, and full-on gross-out expression. A face fills the frame, a hand digs deep into a nostril, and snot streams freely. Nothing is elegant. Everything is confrontational.

The process starts with a loose sketch and moves into ink-style rendering with heavy hatching and cross-hatching, which for me is almost meditative. I shifted the linework from black to dark green, filled the figure with an acid-lime palette, added pale highlights, complementary shadows, and anchored the background with more hatching.
Drawn on an iPad Pro in Procreate with Apple Pencil, this piece was pure stream of consciousness—free, messy, and delightfully disgusting. No rules. Just energy.
