Peikko Group | Bolted Connections for Precast Structures - Enabling Circularity Without Compromising Performance @PeikkoGroupCorp | Uploaded 4 years ago | Updated 2 hours ago
Recent experiments performed by Peikko Group have shown that bolted connections possess a great potential for enabling reuse of precast concrete structures and making the building sector more sustainable.

Disassembling and reassembling the connections showed that bolted connections can provide not only easy and fast assembly, but also effortless disassembly of precast concrete structures. Bolted connections are a key technology for economical reuse of precast concrete structures.

These tests have been one of Peikko Group’s steps towards its future with circular and sustainable solutions. While these tests showed real promise, reuse of precast structures should always be validated by the supplier or third party.
