Peikko’s first major DELTABEAM® project in Australia comprised of 210 beams, altogether 1.6 kilometres of DELTABEAM® Composite Beams for Flagstone Village Convenience Centre. Peikko’s DELTABEAM® was chosen to provide an accelerated construction time for the client. The use of DELTABEAM® in conjunction with hollow-core and precast columns significantly reduced the on-site construction time. Project fire rating requirement was 180 minutes and with DELTABEAM® the elimination of additional intumescent paint fire protection was appealing to the builder as it reduced the cost and was one less operation that needed to be done post installation.
