Hello everyone and welcome back to On Point HQ and the second video in the Bolt Action Basics series. In the first video, we looked at how the theatre selectors are used to build an army. I will link to this video below if you have not seen this yet.
With the army now built, in this video we will be looking at two core mechanics that relate to how your army is used during games of Bolt Action. The first of these mechanics is unit quality and the video will outline each of these three qualities, inexperienced, regular and veteran and explain how these are relevant to the core aspects of the game and how these can shape the units that you choose when building your Bolt Action army.
The second core mechanic that we will look at in the video is the orders that we assign to our units and I will provide a very basic overview of what these specific orders are and how they work within games of Bolt Action – advance, run, fire, rally, down and ambush.
The third video in the Bolt Action Basics series of videos will be focusing on the core combat mechanics – shooting and close quarter combat. If you are new to Bolt Action or you are thinking about taking the plunge and starting to play the game, I hope that you will find this video series of videos helpful or interesting. They are intended to be a very brief outline of the basic aspects of the game that will help you at the beginning of your Bolt Action journey.
