Hello everyone and welcome back to the channel and a new video all about army building in Bolt Action. In a previous video, that I will link to below, I outlined how I went about building an army using the Armies of Germany book to construct a German army based in Stalingrad. In this video however, I am doing something a little bit different and will be showing you how I go about building an army using a theatre selector from one of the Bolt Action campaign books.
The campaign books for Bolt Action focus on a specific campaign or period from World War Two. They will often include new units, new theatre selectors, new rules and scenarios based around that specific period or campaign. These lists are not intended to be generic reinforced platoons but will be structured around building a list that has the background and limitations central to that campaign.
In this video, I will be using the Road to Berlin campaign book and the Forlorn Hope theatre selector to build a 1000 point army. I am not aiming for a competitive or all winning list but instead want to focus on building an army that has the character, background and feel of a German army at this period of the war. There are restrictions on the types of unit that can be taken with the biggest restriction being that I am unable to take any veteran units. Can I put together a list together using these rules?
