This is the edited and shortened version of my livestream response to Brian's Logic- a science denier that took issue with my evidence the earth was a globe based on the actual, measured distance between the cities of Perth and Sydney, Australia.
On a flat plane, this distance would be determined by solving the third side of a triangle formed by connecting Perth, Sydney and the North Pole. On a globe earth, it would be determined by the Haversine Formula. The actual distance between Perth and Sydney (1778 Nautical Miles) will allow us to rule out one of the two possibilities.
As an added bonus, I go over Brian's understanding of Spherical Geometry/Trigonometry, Great Circles and Rhumb Lines.
