A man nicknamed "The Blowtorch Bandit" failed to rob two different California convenience stores on the same night carrying a self-igniting blowtorch. One of the attempts was caught on tape by security cameras and show the thief was no match for a clerk who grabbed a bat and chased the man away. (2006)
