You can grab about 11,000 Blood Echoes in a little over a minute by farming the Lecture building's 1st floor. It helps to have a good crowd control weapon, otherwise you may be overran by these guys. If you have a decent weapon you should be able to kill them in a couple of shots. It helps if you have the Moon Caryll Runes equipped to gain more echoes per run.
