Hey everyone it’s been a hot minute hasn’t it. Welcome to my Blood Omen 2 Retrospective. Don't forget to like comment and subscribe if you like the content, it's appreciated. It took me a bit longer to get this one done than the others because, if I was being honest, I don’t like this game anywhere near as much as the rest of the series. That’s not to say that I had a bad time but I certainly didn’t feel motivated to write a full essay about a game that left me lukewarm at best.
Even so here it is. Before the time of Raziel The Soul Reaver, when Kain was building his empire we have Blood Omen 2. It’s an action adventure game similar to the other Legacy Of Kain games but with it’s one unique twist on some of the mechanics and its own interesting steampunk setting thrown in for good measure.
The game has strengths and weaknesses and as a long time series fan I’m glad I got to explore this part of Nosgoth’s timeline and see how this all connects to the main line series. However it’s very easy to see why this is the black sheep of the family. So let’s dive into this Playstation 2 retro classic and see what it’s strengths and flaws are.
