Here we have Blood Echoes: A Bloodborne Anthology, edited by Simon Parkin and illustrated by Shimhaq, published by Dublin based publishers Tune & Fairweather. Blood Echoes contains essays, both old and new, about Japanese developer FromSoftware’s video game Bloodborne that was released in 2015.
This book contains 10 full color plates printed on Stucco Mill paper with haunting illustrations. There are also watercolor illustrations throughout in red and black. In the middle of the book we find an interview with the president of FromSoftware Hidetaka Miyazaki, the interview is printed on a glossy coated paper in red, white and black.
The book comes with a very sturdy blind-stamped slip-case that is blocked with silver foil. The book is three-quarter bound in Silktouch Yana vegan leather with an illustrated paper front cover. The page edges have a blackout effect. The book is Smyth-sewn on Abbey Pure rough paper, which we are familiar with from Folio Society books. The paper is thick and warm. This book is printed and bound by LEGO in Italy.
