Blind Guardian's "The Soulforged" is about the mage Raistlin Majere from the fantasy world of the Dragonlance. This wizard, of whose compley and fascinating character it is hard to get a picture of, plays an extensive role in the two main series of books, particularly in "Dragonlance: Legend" in which he is both primary protagonist and antagonist. The novel "The Soulforge" was written about his early life.
