The Vampirotheutis Infernalis squid have an interesting circular eye lid system that protect is big blue eyes, making him even more stranger than other species. I'm trying to find a way to replicate it with blender for a personal interpretation of Dune's guild navigator i'm working on, you can see the wip on my blog, the eye open system is just a shape key drived by a bone, the shape key follow the eye ball thanks to the shrinkwrap modifier.
