Some of the bosses are actually quite hard to beat without taking any damage. Some of them have unblockable or unavoidable attacks, which are guaranteed to hit you. However, its still possible to finish all of the fights without taking any hits.
In Broodmother fight, whenever she summons spiders, theres a chance the next attack will be an unblockable roar, which covers all of the arena. You can, however, stagger her when she prepares to roar. The axe with chopper mutation is more effective at staggering compared to the sowrd, so I had it ready, whenever she switched phases. At the last phase, she might do the roar anytime, but it doesnt seem to happen often.
Her jumps before summoning spiders are also unblockable. Better get out of her way.
Mantis has a lot of unblockable attacks. Its charged attack (when it raises its claws in the air) can be perfect blocked, but it still causes you to bleed and take damage over time. It can be interrupted, or avoided if you are far away or stay behind the tree.
Just like Broodmother, it has a roar attack, though in this fight you can actually avoid it, if you are far away from it.
Another attack is Mantis slamming its claws in the ground multiple times. I believe its possible to perfect block it all, though it still causes you to bleed.
If there is some distance between the player and the Mantis, it can leap right at the players position and you cant dodge or block it. Youll only be safe if there is a tree inbetween you two.
Schmector doesnt have any bs attacks like the previous two, though whenever he starts to summon O.R.C. creatures, you have to stay close to him and perfect block it, or youll take damage. He actually never managed to finish that attack in the video, because I staggered him every time he tried. That attack always summons two O.R.C. orb weaver jrs to fight you.")

The game recently received its last update, which added extra stage, Reimu boss fight, achievements and new ability to dash, which you can find somewhere in the new area. The release date couldve been better, since I was busy with Cadence of Hyrule and now Bloodstained, but luckily it didnt take me too long to record this video.
Reimu is not too hard, but she has a significant amount of health, and without using skills, it takes some time to defeat her. This boss has some interesting attacks. Her paper amulets wont hurt you, instead they make you freeze and leave you vulnerable for a while. During the second phase, part of her attacks also pull you closer to her, which is especially bad with all the green projectiles around. And her first attack of the second phase is an Arkanoid, which is a reference to the very first Touhou game. Overall, I really like this new boss.
What I dont like is the dash ability, which is activated by double pressing the arrow buttons. Not only thats inconvenient, it is also easy to start dashing by accident and bump into attack. Hopefully theyll fix this.")

The cage damage in final boss battle is unavoidable. Dont complain about it, or Ill curse you to turn into a pig.

I like how they made bosses, but theres a few exceptions. I hate the Davy Jones fight, because he shoots his projectiles with no warning and you can easily get hit whenever you go for attack. And the parts where you fly as dragon are not done properly. You move too fast and your whole huge body can be damaged. You have to be very precise to dodge through the barrage of bullets. Just look at the final boss and how much I struggle to get through the maze. Despite that, these parts were still fun.
Secret Meka Dragon boss is available if you manage to solve the well puzzle in the main village.")
