Final update brings new boss and different ending.

The game recently received it's last update, which added extra stage, Reimu boss fight, achievements and new ability to dash, which you can find somewhere in the new area. The release date could've been better, since I was busy with Cadence of Hyrule and now Bloodstained, but luckily it didn't take me too long to record this video.
Reimu is not too hard, but she has a significant amount of health, and without using skills, it takes some time to defeat her. This boss has some interesting attacks. Her paper amulets won't hurt you, instead they make you freeze and leave you vulnerable for a while. During the second phase, part of her attacks also pull you closer to her, which is especially bad with all the green projectiles around. And her first attack of the second phase is an Arkanoid, which is a reference to the very first Touhou game. Overall, I really like this new boss.
What I don't like is the dash ability, which is activated by double pressing the arrow buttons. Not only that's inconvenient, it is also easy to start dashing by accident and bump into attack. Hopefully they'll fix this.

Spiritual successor to the Wonder Boy series. I didnt expect much, but its a pretty good game.
The cage damage in final boss battle is unavoidable. Dont complain about it, or Ill curse you to turn into a pig.

I like how they made bosses, but theres a few exceptions. I hate the Davy Jones fight, because he shoots his projectiles with no warning and you can easily get hit whenever you go for attack. And the parts where you fly as dragon are not done properly. You move too fast and your whole huge body can be damaged. You have to be very precise to dodge through the barrage of bullets. Just look at the final boss and how much I struggle to get through the maze. Despite that, these parts were still fun.
Secret Meka Dragon boss is available if you manage to solve the well puzzle in the main village.")

Wouldve been good if I could beat Rat and Dragun without relying on blanks and cheese so much, but after a while I just gave up.
I knew you could shoot in cheese form, but I thought it was a bug. I somehow could dodge roll with a jetpack on before.
I wasnt using Full Metal Jacket, I used all the blanks manually.
And it wasnt my first attempt on both of the bosses, I just reused the same save file.")

Im a bit disappointed about this game. I greatly enjoyed it, but after fantastic Reverie Under the Moonlight, I was expecting more. Im glad it shares the gloomy atmosphere with RUtM, and the new art style is nice, but everything else seems like a step back.
Its still a good game, in my opinion.
Oh, and just like in Momodora, killing any boss without taking any damage will grant you an unique item, which you cant obtain any other way. So you should try doing that. I suggest to use magic - some incenses are very powerful.")

Inferno bosses act much faster and are very aggressive. If you think Hardcore is challenging, well, Inferno is much worse.

I got S rank in the end, but only because I knew the route and I had a trusty infinite rocket launcher to help me. I also had more than 0 deaths, but the game only counts them if you press continue after dying. I had enough challenge with the bosses on that run and I dont mind cheesing the rest of the game, especially since I beat it 3 times already.
On Nightmare and Inferno difficulty Lightning Hawk pistol is available from the beginning.
My graphics settings are pretty low, because otherwise I have random freezes from time to time. My PC is not too bad, but maybe its time for the upgrade.")

This video took longer than I expected to finish. I started a new game+, with active Penitence of the True Guilt. It wasnt too hard, although I did have some difficulties and unfortunate deaths. But theres one thing, which got me stuck for a while - Isidora, one of the new bosses.
You have no idea how much time I wasted trying to no-hit her fight. I 𝒉𝒂𝒕𝒆 her fireballs. In phase 1, its not that big of a deal. You just move and dodge around them to keep them in one place. But in phase 2 they just spawn constantly while the boss keeps hitting you with other attacks. Theres often a situation where you get cornered and youre forced to take a hit. You cant parry or dodge through the fireballs, the only way to get rid of them is to parry some other attack and touch the fireballs while youre invincible.
Aside from fireballs, shes not too hard. Her triple horizontal attack in phase 1 might look tough, but its actually very easy to deal with. She seems to always sync that attack with the beat of the song, so its easy to tell when to parry or jump.
The other bosses are much more manageable. Snake is a bit spongy and takes a while to die, but has simple attacks. Crisanta 2 is fast, but you can still parry her to death. Escribars fight is still very easy. Green orbs can be a little hard to handle, but everything else is very easy to avoid.
