On 20th February 2026 Brad Polumbo hosted a debate between left winger Loren Piretra and right wing Youtuber and commentator Blaire White. It was a conversation about a student at Lake Zurich High School who punched another student who was walking the hallways filming with a sign reading reading "I Love ICE" (Immigration & Customs Enforcement) and shouting pro-ICE statements.
I found the debate frustrating and painful enough that I decided to make a little YouTube video about it, analysing this discourse around punching others for their "freedom of speech" and how it signals the end of "civilised society".
