CORRECTION - FPV QX was 22g auw (not 18g), QX2 is 52g.

I had the original FPV Nano QX which flew really well indoors, it killed batteries and range wasn't great, so was interested to compare the new FPV Nano QX2. First/test fight at end recorded with Aomway DVR receiver.

I like the bigger battery and improved vtx, tiltable camera and protected antenna/easy channel change, not so keen on the very tight battery fitting and awkward MCPX battery connector.

$FPV Nano QX MMW CL-0615-11 motor upgrade test for thrust and flight time Ive been enjoying flying the FPV Nano QX, but it is a bit gutless, also the power seems a bit inconsistent through the flight, so I am fighting throttle, often even full throttle wont stop a ground bump. I had seen some upgraded motors on the web from micro motor warehouse in the US, but were out of stock so I waited a couple of weeks until they came back in, and also could order from EU (German?) Warehouse to avoid customs charged from the US into UK and hoped for quick delivery, delivery wasnt that quick (took just over a week), cost was $27 posted which works out just under £19. This is actually a bit cheaper than the original Blade motors (which are £6 each), only problem is you can only buy these MMW motors in packs of four or ten, which isnt much use if you break one and just want a single replacement. Motors I bought were CL-0615-11 - NanoQX Motor Set, 6x15mm coreless (speed: medium) as I wanted a bit more power without awful flight time or overloading the flight board or nanotech 160mah lipos. Link to the motors I bought is: http://micro-motor-warehouse.com/collections/parts-for-rtf-models/products/cl-0615-11 I tested with nanotech 160mah lipos as I have a bunch of these, I tested thrust at half and full throttle using kitchen scales as well as flight time to LVC kicked in. When test flying the MMW motors felt noticably better, both in hovering at a fraction over half stick almost to the end of the flight and the lift at full stick was noticeably better. I bought these motors with my own money to try out, and feel they are a good upgrade, so would happily buy them again, I do think MMW should sell them either singly or in a set of 6 (so you have a couple of spare motors), as I like to have spares on hand, and will be annoyed if I break one motor in a couple of weeks and then have to buy another set of four! A few tips if you are changing motors: - I used a hubsan prop remover tool to remove the props, they are fragile (especially the clear ones), so better to prise them off with a flat piece of metal or coin in the gap between top of motor and bottom of prop, rather than try to pinch/pull off from above and crush/break them. - Take the canopy off before you start, or when you push new motor plugs in it will push it off its foam pad, with canopy off you can put a finger on the back of the control board to push against. - I had to loosen the two cross head screws holding camera on as original motor wires had been trapped underneath at the factory. - use forceps or a small flat screwdriver to prise the motor plugs out carefully, you do not want to break the socket off the circuit board as this would be a real PITA to repair. - the MMW motors have the opposite colour coding to the original Blade motors, so white/black wired MMW motors replace the red/blue wire Blade motors, and vice versa - there are instructions on the website which show this.
